The Center for Nanotechnology in Society at UCSB has several fellowships and internships available for graduate and undergraduate students interested in studying societal issues associated with nanoscience and nanotechnologies.
The Center plans to award five full fellowships for graduate students in the social sciences and humanities and four partial fellowships for science and engineering students. It also has several internships available for undergraduates curious about how nanotechnologies might change society.
For application materials and information about the fellowships, please look at our web page at: http://www.cns.ucsb.edu/education-public-engagement/. Graduate applicants should note that there are two forms here – an application form details the information and materials candidates should submit while there is another form for people providing letters of recommendation. The deadline for graduate applications is March 1, 2006 and, for undergraduate internships, March 31, 2006.
Applicants desiring additional information may contact Meredith Murr, the CNS-UCSB Academic Coordinator, at murr@cns.ucsb.edu. They are also advised to look at the CNS-UCSB website – www.cns.ucsb.edu.
