The Blind Spot of Search Engines

Researchers studying media coverage tend to rely on the LexisNexis database for a record of the articles appearing in newspapers. More recently, Google News has offered another way of monitoring media – and it generally does a better job, according to research by CNS Principal Investigator Bruce Bimber and former CNS graduate fellow David Weaver. Their work is highlighted by Miller-McCune in an article titled “The Blind Spot of Search Engines.”
