CNS Seminar Winter (In-house)
Mary Collins will be presenting on her dissertation research, titled “Disproportionality, Inequality, and Vulnerability in Socio-Ecological Systems” in anticipation of a job talk she will give to the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center" (SESYNC) in Annapolis, MD the following week. Her work examines disproportionate patterns in pollution production and their implications for society. She will also discuss a new research direction focusing specifically on the mechanisms by which sociopolitical power disparities influence the creation of ecological harm and environmental injustice, and their relationship to socio-ecological vulnerability more broadly.
